For the Charles Village and Old Goucher communities, please note - the following handwritten notice was posted on the window of the empty space at 2438 North Charles Street, across from the Safeway parking lot:
"Notice is hereby given by the Board of Municipal and Zoning that it will hold a Public hearing Tuesday April 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Room 215, City Hill on Appeal No. 2013-72 for a permit to use ground floor of portion known as 2438 N. Charles St. for digital/graphic design, apparel, derma-graphics & Modern art. On these premises located in a B-2-3 Zoning District."
Please note that "derma-graphics" means Tattoo Parlor.

ReplyDeleteWhat you see here is people anticipating the Charles Street Trolley that will be coming. Just the idea that the trolley might be rolling up Charles Street in the future is bring this kind of classy new development to the area.
I'm excited to have a legal tattoo place in this neighborhood finally!
ReplyDeleteThere are ones in Fells Point, Mt Vernon and Hampden - they are an attraction that we are currently without.
Something like 30% of adults have tattoos now so thats an area that we're really missing out on.
Thanks for the heads up!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see we're finally getting a legal tattoo place. I hope they attract some good artists, we probably lose some of the college students business to Fells Point, Hampden and Mt. Vernon.
Something like 30% of people have tattoos now so this will be a good service addition to our block.
