BALTIMOREBaltimore is a magnificent city with wonders all around.  While the City government revels in the Inner Harbor, beyond that there is so much more in this city to see and enjoy, from the wonderful characteristics of its many, diverse neighborhoods, to its magnificent architecture, parks, churches, museums and statuary.  Baltimore could easily be the Paris of the Mid-Atlantic and a major cultural center of the region. But one of the main deterrents to have the City reach its full potential is that there is too much involvement by foundations in our communities which undermine the ability of the citizens of Baltimore to themselves achieve what is possible for their Grand City.

Baltimore has some of the nicest people you would ever meet.  They love their communities, enjoy the many amenities available to them and live, work and happily raise families here.  When left to their own devices the citizens of this City have shown that they are an eager group ready to take leadership and move their communities forward and to enhance this City in ways that outside interference only manages to stifle.  There are too many of these outside groups in Baltimore City that attempt to take control away from neighborhood citizens and to dictate their own goals.  Many of these groups are fathered by the larger institutions, universities and hospitals included, so that the city cannot grow organically as is natural with the talent available in Baltimore.  And this serves neither the people of Baltimore nor the institutions.
It is for this reason that we are establishing this blog, to correct some of the misinformation fostered by these groups, which have money and power behind them to spread their ideas.  It is our desire to let the people of our neighborhoods understand that what is delivered to you by the many other publications, blogs and newsletters may not actually represent the truth as others in the community see it, and to inform those who are interested so that Baltimore can be the grand old city of the Mid-Atlantic.  This blog is for "Other Voices" in our Charles Village neighborhood than those you currently hear, so that better informed Charles Village citizens can exercise control over their lives, their homes and their community.
